Alpha XPS Shower Niche 400x400mm

The XPS Shower Niche 406x610mm provides a waterproof, tile-ready recessed box to create clean, space-saving shower storage.

Streamline your bathroom layout and eliminate clutter with the Alpha XPS Shower Niche 406x610mm (SKU: TALPHW86). Designed to sit flush inside your wall, this wide recessed alcove offers generous, built-in storage for shampoos, conditioners, and body washes without intruding on your shower space. Featuring an external size of 406 × 610mm (internal size 305 × 508mm), it brings a contemporary, hotel-style look to any modern wet room or tiled shower.

Constructing a custom shower niche from separate backer boards and timber framing takes time, patience, and precise measuring to get right. This pre-formed unit takes all the hard work off your hands. Built as a solid, perfectly square single piece, it slots right into your stud wall opening. It gives you immediate structural strength and flawless 90-degree internal angles, allowing both trade professionals and DIY renovators to achieve a sleek finish in a fraction of the time.

Because shower alcoves take a direct hit from running water daily, ultimate moisture protection is essential. Manufactured from high-density XPS (extruded polystyrene) and finished with a fiber-reinforced cement coating, this niche is completely waterproof, rot-proof, and mold-resistant. The specialized textured surface provides exceptional grip for flexible tile adhesive, allowing you to tile directly over it with ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tiles.

This versatile, space-expanding shower niche is ideal for:

• Walk-in showers and wet room enclosures
• New-build bathrooms and full residential renovations
• En-suites and downstairs cloakrooms where space is tight
• Commercial fit-outs, hotels, and apartment developments
• Installation alongside tile backer boards and tanking kits

Once sealed into your wall with waterproof tape and tanking membrane, it creates an unbreakable barrier against hidden wall leaks while giving your space a polished, professional finish.
