Alpha XPS Shower Tray 1200x900mm – Square Waste Outlet

The Alpha XPS Shower Tray 1200 x 900mm is a lightweight, waterproof, tile-ready shower base with a central square waste outlet for walk-in showers and wet rooms.

It's manufactured from high-density XPS foam with a factory-formed fall built in towards the central square waste outlet, giving consistent drainage without needing to create falls by hand in a traditional screed base. That takes out one of the more time-consuming stages of building a tiled walk-in shower or wet room, and it keeps the drainage performance the same from one installation to the next. The lightweight XPS construction is quick to handle, cut and position on site, and it's ready for direct tiling once it's bedded, waterproofed and sealed correctly.

It suits professional tilers, bathroom installers and DIY wet room projects alike, giving a practical option for new bathrooms and renovations throughout Ireland at 1200 x 900mm. It's designed for wet rooms and walk-in showers and works equally well in residential and commercial bathroom installations. As with other Alpha XPS trays, the square waste kit is sold separately and isn't included, so it needs to be ordered alongside the tray.

Quick installation guide:

• Ensure the substrate is clean, level, stable and suitable for the installation
• Dry-position the tray and mark the location of the waste outlet
• Install the compatible square waste kit, sold separately, and connect it to the drainage system
• Bed the XPS shower tray securely using a suitable flexible tile adhesive, ensuring full coverage beneath the tray
• Waterproof and seal the tray perimeter, joints and transitions using suitable waterproofing tape and accessories
• Once the waterproofing system is complete, tile directly onto the prepared tray using a suitable flexible tile adhesive
